The Wall of Life is a unique way to show your support for organ donation. It is also an exciting new way for us to acknowledge and celebrate the thousands of people who sign up to the NHS Organ Donor Register every day.
First decide whether you want to help someone to live after your death and join the NHS Organ Donor Register by clicking on the Step 1 button at the bottom of this page. This link will take you to the registration section of the NHS Blood & Transplant organ donation website where you'll be required to provide some limited personal information (name, date of birth, address) and tell us which organs you are prepared to donate.
At the end of the short 3-step registration process, a link will bring you back to the Wall of Life.
Follow the simple instructions on our home page to upload your picture to the Wall of Life. Besides uploading your photo, you can also enter your name and home town and provide a short statement about your support for organ donation if you wish. These details will be displayed with your photo on the Wall of Life.
We'll need your e-mail address so we can let you know when your picture and details are 'live' on the Wall and so we can send you a unique link to your personal Wall contribution for you to pass on to friends and family. Your e-mail details will not be included on the Wall.
You can use the search function at the top right hand corner of the Wall to search for and zoom in on your own picture or that of someone you know.
Make sure you read and agree to our terms and conditions of use which can be found by following the link at the bottom of the home page.
If you wish to have your picture and details removed from the Wall, want to report any inappropriate content that you come across or simply have a question about our Wall of Life campaign, use the contact us link at the bottom of the home page.
As part of the Wall of Life campaign, supporters can download a personalised Wall of Life widget to their profiles on social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Blogger etc. That way the Wall and the importance of organ donation can be shared with and passed onto your online community of friends.
You can also download a logo and link to the Wall of Life website and share it on your social networking site.
